Joelle Leder Rule is an award winning and published professional photographer specializing in breathtaking landscape images since 2002.  After a variety of clients’ requests, she is a wedding, events (corporate, charity fundraisers & parties), portrait, headshot, celebrity and family photographer.  Wedding and Event planning is also available for your wedding or event.  Born and raised in Southern California near Los Angeles and based in Manhattan Beach since 2000 and also based near Yosemite National Park since 2011, in Bass Lake near Oakhurst, Ahwahnee, Fresno in Central California.  She is an accomplished photographer as her fine art photographic images are displayed in galleries, homes, conference rooms and offices the world over, including England, Ireland, Germany, France, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and of course, the United States.

She has been published many times with her landscape and wedding images.  For the eleventh consecutive year (2019) her landscape images have been chosen to be on the Malibu Rosenthal Estate Winery – Surfrider Wine bottle labels.  Her wedding and event images have been published, used in brochures, online & marketing collateral, commissioned for The Container Store  VIP Party & Grand Opening Events for El Segundo and Farmers Market The Grove CA Retail Store, Starline Tours of Hollywood, Lawry’s Catering, Lawry’s Prime Rib Restaurant, Lawry's Tailgates for USC & UCLA, Europa Village Winery, ISES – International Special Events Society, Festival of Brides Events, WPPI – Wedding & Portrait Photographer International, Wedding Showcase magazine for author Sharon Naylor, Sweet Dream Cakes and Floral Studio, Candee by Sandee, Flour Floral Studio, The Beach Reporter, Miss Diamond Bar Pageant since 2009, Kids Play Int’l & 3x Olympian Tracy Evans, Beauty Bus Foundation, 5 Diamond Venue at Erna's Elderberry House & Chateau du Sureau. Also, personal photographer forThe Hunger Games & the Orphan Actress Isabelle Fuhrman and many other celebrity headshots & red carpet events.  In 2010, a full page fashion ad for Make Me Chic Boutique in Seventeen Magazine for Back to School advertisement.

In addition to the assignments by her corporate clients and individuals for their homes, offices and publications, she has taken images of the beautiful California Coast, Oregon Coast, Newport, Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Washington, Aspen, Colorado, Salt Lake City, Utah, Las Vegas, Nevada, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, North Carolina Coast, Charleston & Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Palm Beach, Jupiter Beach, Juno Beach, Florida, Maui, Hawaii, Washington DC, Nashville Tennessee and worldwide locations such as Japan, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Belize and Nicaragua.  Local California area would include Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Catalina, Malibu, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Los Angeles, Westwood, Hollywood, Corona Del Mar, Balboa, Newport Beach, Big Sur, Monterey, Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake, Napa Valley, Central California Coast, Cambria, San Luis Obispo.  She also has an extensive collection including seascapes, lighthouses, flowers, waves, birds, doors, barns, rustic country and so much more.

From 1994 to 2000 and a Canon film camera in hand, she captured images for a NASCAR Winston Cup,  Craftsman Truck NASCAR Races and ARCA race car teams at the events including photographs of Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Rusty Wallace, Michael Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and other drivers while at the races all over the country and including Twin Ring Motegi - Coca Cola 500 Race in Motegi, Japan.  This race was the first time Dale Earnhardt and his son, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. competed against one another in a NASCAR race.

For the love of photography while helping others learn, connect, try something new or be a better photographer, Joelle has founded and taught a photography group called LA Shoot This! Photo Group.  It was the #1 Los Angeles based photography group that met monthly for meetings and styled shoots from 2009 to 2012.  JLP Model and Talent models has also been created to supply talent to a variety of photo shoots including Starline Tours of Hollywood and Discovery Girls Magazine. 

Philanthropic “Purepecha Tribe Project”- Back-to-School Supply Handout to the school age children - August 2008.  Location near Indio, CA on the tribe reservation.Joelle Leder Photography's photos were used to create an slideshow presentation and was shown at a red carpet "Inside the Minds: Advertising as a Branding Tool" book launch and reception at the Century City Plaza Hyatt Regency Hotel in the X Bar LA, Century City, CA for MayaDC, an advertising and communication company based in Hermosa Beach CA and Washington DC in Sept 2008. 100% proceeds from the book sales during the evening went towards this special cause.  Thank you to Actors Rich Sommer and Michael Gladis from the 2008 Emmy award winning AMC Television Show "Mad Men" for joining the event.

She was born to be a photographer, as both of her grand-fathers and her mother and father are all dedicated amateur photographers using sophisticated camera equipment. They have always shared their expertise with Joelle, ever since she was a little girl. Her mother is an award winning photographer and has been a strong influence in Joelle pursuing a career in the creative arts.

Joelle’s education helps her understand the needs of her corporate clients. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphisis in Sales and Marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix. 

She prefers and is most comfortable using state of the art Canon camera equipment.  Joelle enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends at the beach and mountains, traveling and living life to its fullest while going on great adventures to capture many moments along her journey of life.
